Online Communication Guidelines

By joining this community, I agree to the following communication guidelines which apply to all online forums.

1. No Hate Speech or Bullying

Bullying, name calling and angry ranting isn't allowed. Degrading comments about things like race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender or identity will not be tolerated.

2. Keep It About The Hash

Online posts should be related to hashing, drinking or running! Share your story. Share your trails. Share your patch challenge. Share your best trail treasures. Share your upcoming events. Share your amazing new hashing shoes…

3. Respect Everyone's Privacy

Being part of this group requires mutual trust. Authentic, expressive discussions make groups lively and interesting. But things told may also be private and sensitive. What's shared in the group should stay in the group.

4. Keep It In The Hash

Only invite hashers and prospects into the online groups, and direct them to answer a few questions so we know they are like-minded. MisManagement reserves the right to approve and disapprove invites.

5. No Fuckery

This includes but is not limited to: spamming, negging, sea-lioning, griefing, body shaming, doxxing, lying and general bullshit.

6. Ruh-Roh!

Everybody loves a colorful debate over which French beer is the best (Kronenbourg obviously). Along with free speech comes personal responsibility. Violations of the above rules may result in moderators taking actions to reestablish civility within online group chats including:

  • Sending out a warning to individuals or the community (hash hush)
  • Freezing the group chat for a short period of time
  • Deletion of comments deemed in violation of these guidelines
  • Temporary removal of the individual(s) from the group(s)

Actions of these sorts are intended to be a last resort. If a comment is deleted or a member removed by a moderator, they will share a screenshot with context to the other leaders explaining why they made their decision. MisMan will then reach out privately to the hash hushed member to open up a dialogue as to why the warning, deletion, or removal happened. There may be a temporary cooldown period implemented before being added back into the online group(s).

Final Thoughts

These guidelines will be upheld by moderators, who consist of GM’s and/or a member assigned this role collectively by the GM’s. Please reach out to any GM if you have any comments or questions.

Let’s all keep the hash a fun, respectful and inclusive environment for everyone. On-on! 👣
